Datacenter setup
Generate Datacenter credentials, choose IPv4 or IPv6, and work within its two limits: credentials-only auth and country-level targeting
Datacenter is the quickest product to set up: there are no geo segments to build, so credentials work as soon as you generate them. For what Datacenter is good and bad at, see the product page.
Generate proxies
Open the Unified Proxy Generator and select Datacenter to create proxy credentials. You're billed per GB used—no minimum thread counts or complex plans.
Choose IPv4 or IPv6
Pick IPv4 when the target requires it. Pick IPv6 for high-volume work against IPv6-compatible targets. Both use the same authentication and session options, so this is the only choice that differs between them — see the product page for pool sizes and common targets.
Your proxy credentials
Datacenter uses the standard format: host:port:username:password. No geo segments needed—just paste and go.
Authentication is username:password only. IP whitelist is not available on Datacenter. If you need IP-based auth, use Residential.
Targeting by country
Pick a country and generate. That's your targeting option on Datacenter—no state, city, or ASN filtering.
Rotating vs sticky sessions
Works the same as Residential: rotating port for new IPs per request, sticky port for persistence. See Sessions for details.
IPv6 subnet note
Our IPv6 /29 subnet gives you a large pool within a single range. Anti-bot systems may recognize this. If subnet homogeneity is a problem for your target, consider Residential or Mobile instead.
Things to watch for
IPv6 proxies stall on Netflix
Known behavior. Connections stall briefly then recover. Implement retry with exponential backoff in your client.
How many IPv4 IPs?
About 3,000. The pool rotates as we acquire and retire ranges.
What IPv4 ranges?
Multiple ranges, not a single /24. Contact support if you need exact ranges for allowlisting on your end.
